The City of Seagoville contracts for Transportation with STAR Transit located in Terrell Texas.Star Transit provides public transportation in Rockwall county, Kaufman county, Seagoville and Balch Springs. the agency also operates the DART Express bus route 282 in Mesquite and the Balch springs Midtown Express. for more information or to schedule a ride call 877-631-5278. ride must be booked no less than 24 hours in advance.

Door-to-Door Transportation to Senior Center

Medical Transportation

Transportation is provided through a contract with STAR Transit. Senior Center staff can assist with scheduling transportation, or STAR Transit can be contacted directly at 877-631-5278.

Seagoville Express

The Seagoville Express operated by STAR Transit is a bus route operating Monday – Friday, starting at the Villas of Seagoville and ending at the Seagoville Senior Center.  This service also connects you to the DART Rail Green Line at the Buckner Station
(8008 Elam Rd).  In order for the bus to make a trip to DART, verbal notification should be given to the driver upon boarding the bus.

Reduced Fare Qualification

On August 15, 2017, the STAR Transit Board of Directors approved a fare restructure for all service areas.  This includes a discount for qualified seniors 60+, veterans and persons with disabilities.  To qualify, riders must complete an eligibility form for STAR Transit to review. Reduced fares require a  Qualification Process.

Guidelines

• Staff must be present before a member is to enter or exit a STAR vehicle.
• Participants are to be ready to board the van when it arrives. The driver will not honk the horn for participants.
• Participants must be able to carry all their own belongings without assistance.
