Hours


The Communications Center operates 24 hours, 7 days a week For EMERGENCIES call 911.
For dispatch call 972-287-2999, at prompt press 1.

Responsibilities


The Communications Center is staffed around the clock with highly trained Public Safety Technicians that are responsible for answering both emergency and non emergency phone calls. In addition the Public Safety Technicians dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical services, and monitor the department's holding facility operations.

Accessibility


The Communications Center provides the following services via 9-1-1:
  • TTY service for our hearing impaired callers
  • Language Line service for non-English speaking callers
  • Texting to 9-1-1. "CALL if you can, TEXT if you can't."

Operators


This Center takes pride in the integral part it plays in serving the City. The Public Safety Technicians are highly-skilled state licensed professionals and receive continued education to maintain their skills. Public Safety Technicians are informed of the newest and latest technology in order to better serve the community.
