Posted on: February 2, 2022[ARCHIVED] Republic Trash Service During Inclement Weather
- UPDATE FROM REPUBLIC: This morning our operations team determined that road conditions will be unsafe tomorrow and made the decision to suspend operations for tomorrow, Thursday, February 3.
Our Operations Manager, Amanda Callantine will be driving your community and the routes to and from the landfills early Friday morning to determine the safety of running routes on Friday. Looking at the weather maps, as of now, there is a 75+% chance that Friday routes will be suspended as well. I will be in contact with her and get messaging out to you as soon as I have it Friday morning.
Residents are welcome to call our information line to get updates as well. That number is 800.338.2500.
Today we are pulling forward as many of the Commercial and Industrial customers as possible. - Plan A – If the roads are icy and unsafe on Thursday but melt off by Friday morning
- We will push Thursday residential service to Friday and Friday to Saturday and be back on schedule Monday morning
- Plan B – If the roads are icy and unsafe on Thursday and Friday
- We will collect Thursday residential routes on Saturday. Friday routes along with regular Monday routes will be collected on Monday
- Plan C – If the roads are icy and unsafe through Saturday
- We will “double pull” both Thursday and Friday’s routes on Monday and Tuesday
- Plan D – If the stars align, the weather event by-passes the metroplex and the roads are safe
- We will run normal schedules
