Common Code Violations
- Grass must be mowed and no higher than eight (8) inches tall.
- Trimmings are not allowed to accumulate on any public street, sidewalk or other public way.
- Trimmings should not be deposited in any inlet, manhole or storm sewer or sanitary sewer system.
- Fences should be well-maintained and in vertical position.
- The damaged, removed, rotten, leaning or missing portion of a fence shall be replaced or repaired with comparable material to the remaining portion of fence within thirty (30) days of the event causing noncompliance.
- Any and all vegetation shall be kept clear of fences and shall not be allowed to grow into a fence
- If replacing six (6) or more fence panels, a fence permit is required.
All exterior property areas shall be maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition, free from accumulation of rubbish, garbage, junk or waste which constitutes a public nuisance, or which are contrary to the public health, safety and welfare.
Parking on Unimproved Surfaces
Vehicles should not be parked in the front or side yards at any time, except on a driveway or on an improved surface such as concrete.
Junk or Inoperable Vehicles
A vehicle that is self-propelled, does not have lawfully attached to it an unexpired registration or does not display a license plate and is:
- wrecked, dismantled, disfigured, damaged, ruined, destroyed or
- inoperable and has remained inoperable for more than
- seventy-two (72) consecutive hours on public property or
- thirty (30) consecutive days on private property.
Outside storage of any items are prohibited.
