The City of Seagoville uses social media platforms as a service to the public to disseminate information from the City, about the City, to its residents. Every effort is made to ensure the information shared is accurate; however, assessing accuracy and reliability of information is the sole responsibility of the user.
The City's website, seagoville.us, remains the most current and official source for all news, information, and service alerts.
All social media accounts under the care and supervision of the City are considered official. These sites clearly demonstrate they are maintained by the City and link back to the official City website. An inventory of accounts is maintained under Living Here - Social Media Center on the City’s website.
All content is considered a public record and subject to retention requirements as well as the Texas Public Information Act.
Social media sites are not monitored 24/7. Designated staff will monitor comments and messaging during regular business hours or regular shift hours. Monitoring of comments is limited to the suitability of the comment in relation to the post. Monitoring and responding to private messages is limited to general information about the specific social media site.
Social media sites are not an appropriate option for reporting urgent matters of any type and submitting other requests. Please contact the appropriate city department with urgent needs and/or complaints directly.
Any comments or content not relevant or related to the original topic posted by the City are subject to removal and/or restriction by the City. Participation is at the risk of the user and the user is responsible for their own individual comments, messages, username and any user-information provided.

The City of Seagoville may, at its sole discretion, change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on the website and will be effective as specified.
